Students applying to the Middlesex Transition Academy (MTA) must be completing Grade 12 and must have an identified disability.
Prior to applying, parents should contact Ann Mallin, Program Coordinator, to schedule a visit and tour.
If parents and students are interested in applying to the Academy after visiting the program, an application will be mailed to the student’s home address.
After the application has been submitted, the MTA teacher will schedule an interview with the student.
After review of the application, a letter of acceptance will be mailed and the student will be invited to visit the program to meet the students and staff.
The program coordinator at the MTA will attend the student’s Planning and Placement Team meeting to review and answer questions about the Academy’s program with sending school district personnel, parents and student.
Please contact Ann Mallin, Program Coordinator at (860) 358-9583 for additional information.
